More North Pole!

These are pictures from the actual North Pole. It wasn't as cold as I expected. They had everything in a building. I thought that was very smart of Santa.

These are pictures of our train ride to the North Pole! It was so much fun!

I went to see Santa at the Rochester Museum

The Museum sponsors Papa's base ball team. They got Santa to come all the way to Rochester so I went to visit him. When I got there, Mrs. Claus said "Hi Xavier." My mom said, "X, Mrs. Claus knows your name!" I said, "That's not Mrs. Claus, that's Applesauce." My mom likes this story, but I don't know why. She said she would add something to this post. Anyway, I sat on Santa's lap. He asked me what I would want if I could only have one thing, and I told him a tree. I was hoping my mom heard that -- we have never had a tree in Midland. But guess what? Emma gave me my very own Christmas tree, and it had yellow and blue ornaments on it. A Michigan Christmas tree!!!

X's Mom's Note: Santa was being played by "Doc" Hawarth. Mrs. Claus was being played by his wife who is affectionately known as "Applesauce." I couldn't believe that Xavier recognized her voice. Thankfully, he did not recognize Doc!

The Paci Incident

These are pictures of me using my pacis to buy a toy, and the toy I bought. The picture of me sleeping is after I finally stopped crying and fell asleep before my party. Don't I look exhausted?

Still more pictures -- from the Christmas Tree lighting at the shopping center near Papa and GG's

I'm totally fascinated with marching bands, so the last shot is of me trying to join the band!

All Aboard!

On Sunday, December 6, Papa, GG, mom and I went to the North Pole! That's right, we went all the way to the North Pole. We hopped aboard the North Pole Express. We boarded a train in Owosso, Michigan. They even served us hot chocolate like on "Polar Express," but they didn't sing the song. We rode the train for an hour, and when it stopped we were at the North Pole! I saw Santa Claus! I asked him for candy for Christmas. I also rode on some rides, including a really big slide with mom. I was really into the ventriloquist's show. My mom said it kind of creeped her out, but I liked it! I think my favorite part was the chocolate covered candy cane my mom bought me...

It was a really great time!

Saturday November 28 and Sunday November 29

These were both very big days for me. On Saturday, GG, mom and I went to the toy store. I was going to buy a toy with my pacis. I was totally psyched for it. I told everyone I was joining the Big Guy Club. I spent a long time looking for the perfect toy. I finally found it. It was kind of a bike, like a tricycle, but it didn't have pedals. You make it move simply by turning the wheel back and forth. It's lots of fun. I was very proud of myself. I took the bike home to show Papa and Uncle Butchie. When it was nap time, though, I wanted my pacis. I cried and cried and cried. I told my mom "I don't want to be a big boy." When she explained that I had used my pacis to buy a toy, I said to her "Take it back. I want my paci." After about an hour of crying, I finally fell asleep.

When I woke up, it was time for my birthday party. I still was unhappy about the paci situation, but there was so much going on that I forgot about it. We had pizza and cake with ice cream. The cake was shaped like a monkey, and we gave out frosted butter cookies shaped like bananas. The party was bananas! I got lots of great gifts, and Emma and I had fun running around like crazy people!

When it came time for me to go to bed, I was not happy. I wanted the paci. I cried and cried and cried. I was up until midnight. I finally fell asleep, but my mom says that around 3 am, I started to yell "Yes, yes!" and then I fell right back asleep. When I woke up the next morning, I had a paci in my mouth. You read that correctly, I found a paci in the middle of the night. Oh Happy Day! My mom asked where I got the paci. I told "I found it -- under the cover." I was so happy to have it back, that my mom and I struck a new deal. I can only have the paci when I am sleeping. Hey - it's better than nothing.

On Sunday, we went to a very nice dinner. We were celebrating my birthday and Papa and GG's 40th anniversary. I had one of my favorite dinners -- steak! Yum! After dinner, we went to downtown Rochester with the Fortiers to see the lights. Every year, Main St. in Rochester hangs lights vertically on all the store fronts -- from the top of the buildings all the way down to the ground. It's really pretty. We like to go before they are turned on because when they first turn them on, it's brilliant. My mom says the lights are for the holidays, but I'm not buying it. They turned them on for the first time this year on my birthday. Personally, I think the city was celebrating my birthday!

Thanksgiving and Black Friday in Review

I had a great Thanksgiving. We followed all of our traditions. We went to the Lions game. They lost, but it was still fun! Then we went to Granny Nanny's for Thanksgiving dinner. When we got there, some people were in the kitchen playing with food. My mom said they were cooking. I don't really know what that is -- my mom doesn't really do it. Anyway, we had lots of good food -- turkey, mashed potatoes, corn bread pudding, mac and cheese from Boston Market (my mom's favorite), sweet potatoes, and crescent rolls. Everything was delish! We missed Jeppy a lot, though.

After dinner, we went to a movie. We saw Old Dogs. It was pretty funny. That Robin Williams guy gets me every time. I ate popcorn. About half way through the movie I told my mom I wanted some Milk Duds. She didn't have any left, so she went out and bought me some. I sat on Lindsay's lap, watched the movie, and shoveled those Milk Duds in one after the other. After that, it was pretty late so we went home and went to bed.

On Friday, my mom got up super early to stand in line at Target. If you ask me, it was like a competition for her to see if she could get what she wanted. There was no way I was getting up at 4 am to stand outside, though. No way. I stayed in the warm bed, thank you very much. When I took a nap on Friday, my mom took one with me. She said shopping can make a person tired.

On Friday night, Papa, GG, Uncle Butchie and Uncle Josh, me and mom went to the Pistons game. We had a lot of fun. I especially like it when Automotion dances. Those girls are hot! When the band played YMCA, I got up to dance too. I was rocking out. The Pistons lost, but we still had fun. I also learned some new moves for the next time I play basketball at home.

It was a good couple of days for me!

Playing Catch Up

Hi there. I've been waiting to update my blog until all my recent pictures were downloaded, but I have no idea when that is going to happen. Good help is SO hard to find.

Let's go back to the Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanskgiving. On Tuesday, mom and Papa picked me up from school. On the way there, my mom got a call that I was projectile vomiting. When she got there, I was lying on a cot. A couple of minutes later, my mom was holding me, and I started to cough. Mom ran (really fast) to the closest garbage can. I threw up in it (mostly). My mom said it smelled like oranges. She figured out what the problem was right away. I'd been eating a lot of those small oranges called cuties. I ate too many of them, and the acid bothered my stomach. My mom knew I was ok when, after throwing up in the garbage can, I said "I did it!"

Anyway, in the back of Papa's car when they picked me up were all the toys that were too young for me or that I didn't play with anymore. We drove to a place that works with women and children. I gave them all my toys so other kids could have them. My mom explained to me that some kids don't have any toys. I thought that was pretty sad. Plus, I had to make room for the toys I'd be getting for my birthday and Christmas. It was fun to give them away! And after, we stopped and got ice cream.

On Wednesday, Papa, GG and mom came up to my school for our Thanksfgiving feast. We had turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, rolls and cupcakes! I liked the turkey (protein for my muscles) and cupcakes (hey, they just taste good) the best. On Wednesday night we went to the airport to pick up Uncle Butchie. I went into the airport to get him. It took him forever to get off the plane, but I was super excited to see him come down the escalator!

So the Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving were fun. You'll have to wait to hear about Thanksgiving and Black Friday!

The Countdown is on

post signature

Hello everyone! You have probably been wondering where I have been. Well rest assured -- all is good-in-the-hood. Momma has been traveling, so I've been hanging out with GG and PaPa. Those two can be a handful, but they have been behaving. It was a good week, as I have been preparing for the Michigan vs. Ohio State game. Momma took me to the game, since Uncle Gosh and his friend Mr. Mike were going to be sitting near us. The game was crazy! I could not understand why our QB kept throwing it to guys from Ohio State. Even I know not to throw it to the other team.

I went to the Lions game too. The Lions played the Browns; they are the two worst teams in the NFL. It was an awful game at the beginning. The Lions were down 24-3 in the first quarter. But on the last play of the game, the Lions threw a hail mary pass into the end zone, and the Browns intercepted. But -- wait! Pass interference on the defense! With no time left, the Lions scored a touchdown and won the game! Ford Field went nuts!!!!

Now that the game is over, we need to re-focus on me. This is a big week with Thanksgiving, GG and Papa's anniversary, and let's not forget, my birthday! It's going to be so much fun, and I've been telling people if they can or cannot come to my party for months. Sometimes the status changes, depending on how I feel. That's just how I roll.

After my birthday I will be using my pacis to buy a new toy. I'm going to take all my pacis to Toys R Us and pick out a toy. I know it's a big move, but I am ready for it.

Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone!!

Wizard of Oz

It is coming up on the Wizard of Oz's 70th Anniversary so it was on all weekend long. I watched it a lot. At first the Cowardly Lion was scary to me, but my mom explained that the Cowardly Lion was Dorothy's friend. After that I wasn't scared. The green face witch and those funny monkeys didn't scare me at all. I like this movie, and that's a good thing. It's my mom's favorite.

I had a good weekend. On Saturday, I played outside for a while with Papa. We played baseball, of course. I was hitting a plastic ball off the team, and I was really nailing them. One hit Papa in the forehead, and when we went inside, he had a bright red spot on his head. I also went with GG to visit Mr. Peregon. Mr. Peregon had surgery so I decided to bring him ghost shaped marshmallows. I thought they might help him feel better. On Saturday night, we went to eat with Sharon and Loren. We went to Mr. B's in Rochester. Uncle Gosh came too. I like Mr. B's because they have a game room. I sure went through a lot of quarters.

On Sunday, my mom and I watched the Wizard of Oz from beginning to end. I was not happy with Miss Gulch when she tried to take Toto so I ran up to the TV and yelled "You're a bad woman!" to her. During the evening, we went to the Granger party. Every year they have an end-of-the year party.
I had a lot of fun. I played with Jackson. Jackson has a big train set and some musical instruments. We had a blast. My birthday is coming up, maybe I should ask for a drum set.

Baby in my Belly

Ok, are you ready for this one? Yesterday, I put a football under my shirt and told my mom I had a baby in my belly. She asked me if it was a boy or a girl, and I told her it was a boy.

Then my mom took a shower, and I was watching TV in her room. When she takes a shower, she shuts her bedroom door so we are both locked in there and she can hear me. She asked me if I wanted her to put on a cartoon or Sesame Street video. I told her, "I just want to watch Michigan football." She put in a DVD of the Michigan v. Penn State game from 2007 (Michigan won -- way to go Coach Carr on getting those 2 seconds added back to the game time). When she was in the shower, she heard me yell "Hey you big guys, I got a baby in my belly! It's a boy!"

My mom asked me what I was going to name my baby. I decided on Anock.

Is this not the scariest monster you've ever seen?

As promised, here are pictures from Halloween. I went trick or treating with Noah and Sarah. They are relatives of Granny Nanny, and we are friends with them.

We had a lot of fun! I got lots and lots of candy. I even remembered to say thank you after the cand was dropped into my bucket.

Very sad day

Yesterday, my dear friend Jeff aka Jeppy died. I love my Uncle Jeppy a lot. He was always very nice to me. He said it was because I wasn't a brat like other kids. But I know it was just because he loved me.

We all miss him a lot. If you're the type of person to pray please say a prayer for Jeppy's family -- Granny Nanny, Uncle Nerd, Bad Brad and Tortie Torte. Thanks

I don't get sick often, but when I do

I do it big!!! I am being treated for H1N1. Yep, swine flu. I started to spike a fever -- I got all the way up to 103.8 -- and my mom called the doctor.

He gave me some tamiflu and some antibiotics because my fever wouldn't go away. It's been about 48 hours that I've been on the tamiflu, and I'm starting to feel better.

The wait is over.... I am back

post signature

Where do I start? So much time has gone by since my last post, you are probably all in withdrawal....so sorry. My Mom has been busy traveling racking up those frequent flier miles, which I hope she uses on me. While mama has been traveling, I've been spending time at Papa and GG's house.

It has been fun there and also busy keeping those two in line. In the morning GG takes me to school and then picks me up. Most mornings she gets me a chocolate milk from Starbucks; it comes in a box. Some days we take Papa to physical therapy. When we're there, I get to play with these really big bouncing balls. Because my Papa's physical therapist is Uncle Josh's friend, I pretty much get to do what I want. It's the perks of knowing people.

The other day at school we went to Dinosaur Hill, but they didn't have any dinosaurs! That just doesn't make sense. I mean no dinosaurs at Dinosaur Hill, and pumpkins at the apple orchard.

My mom comes home on the weekends. I'm always happy to see her. A couple of weeks ago, Papa, Uncle Josh, Mom and I went to the Michigan football game. I had a major fit because I didn't want to wear my coat. "It bothers me." I couldn't even walk or eat popcorn. My mom got upset; she thought I was over reacting. I couldn't even eat my popcorn people! It dmore serious than that. She oesn't get gave me some options, and I chose to leave the game. We caught a cab to the mall where we parked. I went inside the mall, took off my coat and had a blast until Uncle Josh and Papa met us after the game. I noticed my mom didn't take me to the Michigan game this past weekend. Hmmm, wonder why...

Also, it is time for me to update you on my new Exciting Person of the Month. I am proud to announce Uncle Josh..aka Uncle Gosh.

Uncle Josh is the best. He always comes over to play with me and to help Papa and GG. Sometimes he brings me french fries from McDonald's, and he lets me finish his milkshake. He is a pretty good wrestler and good at Candy Land, but I am better. So join me in saying..."yeah Uncle Josh".

You know what happens when you cry for 13 minutes straight?

You throw up -- all over you and all over your mom. It happened last night. We were at Mannequin Night in Midland. The Northwood students pretend to be mannequins. It was kind of creepy to tell you the truth. But I digress -- as we were leaving, I made a bad choice. Then I made two more bad choices because I was too busy fooling around with my umbrella. My mom took the umbrella away and said I couldn't have it anymore that night.

I threw the biggest fit I have ever, ever, ever, in my 2 years, 10 months and 9 days of life thrown. I cried and screamed all the way home, in the garage and up the stairs at our house. On the third step, I coughed and that was it for me. I threw up on me and mom. I think my mom started to cry a little at that point, but it seemed to help me calm down. 15 minutes later, I was back to my normal charming self.

I hear my mom tell this story to GG, and my mom said, "Sometimes you just have to dig in when you've made a decision and show them who is in control." I have no idea what that means -- we weren't even digging in the dirt yesterday!

Aside from that, I had a good week. I was back in Midland so I got to see all my friends. I even went to Emma's house one night to play. I'm looking forward to the weekend. We have lots of fun stuff planned. I'll tell you all about it later.

Have a good weekend!

Remember me?

It has been just crazy the last 3 weeks or so. Uncle Butch was still in town, and my mom was still on the road a lot. I had a blast visiting with Uncle Butch, only sometimes I call him Uncle Toushie. Ha ha -- I crack myself up!

Uncle Butch and Uncle Josh and I play outside a lot. We play football, baseball, lacrosse and soccer. We also play my personal favorite "Hey, get me." This is when they chase me. They never catch me because I'm super fast. It's just like I told Uncle Toushie, "You can't catch me -- at all."

The Uncles, my mom and I went to the Michigan v. Eastern Michigan football game together. We had never gone to a game together. It was a lot of fun. The Wolverines won! My mom and I also went to the Michigan v. Indiana game together. What a nailbiter! But Michigan prevailed. It was Homecoming, and all the alumni band members and cheerleaders came back. Did you know that cheerleaders used to be guys and only guys? Wild isn't it? They did really cool flips, but it wasn't the same as the girls in short skirts!!! I'm just saying...

Since I can never get enough football, we also went to the Lions v. Redskins game. Guess what? The Lions won!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was the first time they had won at home since 2007. We were really excited. When we got back to the car, my mom said it was a long game and then she remembered that the game wasn't that long, she just wasn't used to staying until the end.

All is well on my end. I'm having lots of fun and Papa's shoulder is getting better. I'll post another blog to fill you in on everything I've been doing.

It's been a while

Hi. My mom's been traveling again. She won her trial, though!!!

My mom came home for Labor Day. On the Saturday before Labor Day, my mom and I went to the Michigan football game. Uncle Josh went with us. It was the first game of the season, and Michigan won!!! GO BLUE!!! We had a great time at the game. We had kettle corn, a pretzel, cheez-its, and Coke Zero.

On the Sunday before Labor Day, we went to Granny Nanny's for a party. My fiend Noah was there too. So was Jeppy, Bad Brad, Uncle Nerd and Tortie Tort. We went swimming in Granny Nanny's pool. Noah even took of his clothes and went in the pool. Ha!! It was a lot of fun.

On Labor Day, my mom had to go back to Mississippi so I stayed with Papa and GG. I had a lot of fun with them. We went to the park a lot. My mom came home Wednesday night. On Thursday, Papa had rotator cuff surgery so I went to school and my mom and GG took Papa to the hospital. His surgery went fine, but Papa has a boo boo now. He lift anything and his arm is in a sling. On Friday, I spent some time with my mom. We went to the park in Birmingham. It has a hill made out of astroturf, and everyone brings cardboard so they can slide down it. It is soooo much fun! On Friday night, I went with GG and my mom to the airport to pick up Uncle Butch. I was so excited to see him. On the way home, he sat in the back seat with me, and I talked his ear off. I told him "That's a gas station." and "Look at that tall building."

On Saturday, I played outside with Uncle Butch. We like to play soccer. I always pull his jersey. I told Uncle Butch, "I'm really fast. You can't catch me at all." Then on Saturday, my mom took me to the Michigan football game. They played Notre Dame. It was an awesome game! My Wolverines scored the winning touchdown in the endzone right by our seats with 11 seconds left in the game. The place went nuts!!! I went nuts!!!!

On Sunday, I spent a lot of time playing outside with Uncle Butch. I really love doing that. Then my mom and I went back to Midland. I hadn't been there in 3 weeks. On Monday, I went to school and saw all my friends. I was especially happy to see Emma -- I gave her a big hug and kiss. But, we're not in Midland for long. Tomorrow after school, we're going back to Papa and GG's. I can't wait!!!

Update from my time with GG and Papa

We are (still) working on potty training. GG picked me up from school the other day, and I had to go to the bathroom. She took me in the bathroom, and I peed -- standing up!!! I'm not sure where I learned how to do this -- it's not like my mom taught me.

I've been going to the park with Papa and GG after school. Sometimes we even eat in the park. It's lots of fun!!

According to GG, I spelled my name (correctly) last night. I must be brilliant!!!

Guess Who is Traveling Again?

You might have guessed me because I am a well-traveled child, but I was talking about my mom. She was in Texas and Mississippi last week and is in Mississippi again this week.

But, we still had a good weekend. I rode with Papa and GG to the airport on Friday to pick her up. When I saw her walk out, I started to scream because I had missed her. On the way home, I even held her hand in the back seat.

Saturday was busy for us. First, I went to football class. We practiced throwing, running a post route, cradling the ball like a running back should and catching the person with the flags. After football class, we drove to Midland to get some of our stuff, and then we drove back to Papa and GG's. Then we went to Kristen's house so I could play with Megan and Evan. Auntie Jennifer came too! We had a lot of fun -- especially when the big guy (Megan and Evan's dad) started playing music, and we started dancing. But I kept yelling at my mom to stop dancing! I don't like when she dances, and she is always dancing. We left there about 10 pm and drove back to Papa and GG's. It was a busy buy great day!

On Sunday, me, GG and mommie went out for breakfast. I had bacon, fruit loops and lucky charms mixed together, some orange juice and chocolate pudding. Delicious!! Later on Sunday, Uncle Josh came over and we played. We went outside to play with a baseball. GG came out and threw the ball to me, only she hit me. It didn't really hurt, but I told her "You no throw it, you roll it!"

Hope you had a good weekend.

Sometimes I even impress myself.

My mom and I had a rough night. I was tired, which made me whiny. My mom was tired, which made her temper short (Can tempers be short?). Anyway, I was whining and my mom was yelling sometimes.

When I was getting ready for bed I told my mom that I was going to sleep in my bed -- almost never happens. She said that was fine. Then when we were reading books I told her I wasn't going to sleep in my bed. She asked me where I was going to sleep, and I told her I was going to sleep in her bed. She asked me why, and I said "because I love you."

Funny, everything was ok after that. We forgot all about our rough evening!

The Silver Ball Tournament

On August 7, 8 and 9, Papa, GG, me and my mom went to the Silver Ball Tournament. What? You don't know what the Silver Ball Tournament is? I don't believe it!

It is a tournament for base ball held in Mumford, New York. Not baseball -- base ball, as in vintage base ball. Papa's Grangers were playing in it. On Friday, we left the house and drove through Canada to get to New York -- it's the shorter route. Or at least it is supposed to be, but we spent a lot of time waiting to get into Canada and then into the United States.

On Friday, we went to the Rochester Red Wings baseball game. I kept saying "Way to go Red Wings! Way to go!" But I couldn't figure out where the ice was. And why were these guys using bats instead of hockey sticks?

On Saturday, Papa left the hotel early to go to his 8 o'clock game. He rode over with Cueball, so Cueball's son, Mo Mo came to our room. We slept for a bit, and then we left the hotel to go to the game too. The Grangers won their first game, but they were hurting. Cueball's knee was swollen to twice it's size. Goodfella had an injury, Slappy had a hamstring injury, Nails hurt his hip, and Barnraiser had bruised ribs. But I'll tell you what -- those Grangers played their hearts out. They won their second game and their third game.

After the third game, we went back to the hotel. I took a nap, and then we met everyone at Dinosaur Bones for some BBQ. Delicious! After dinner, we went back to the hotel. I got my pajamas on, and my mom made me some popcorn to eat. ALl of a sudden there was a knock on our door -- it was my friend Mo Mo. Then two of Barnraiser's daughters, Kelly and Colleen came over. Everyone in their room was asleep so they came to see what we were doing. How do you like that? It was the two year-old who kept the party going! We sat on the bed and ate popcorn. I also told a story about my two dogs, Oveck and Oveek (pretend). It lasted 8 whole minutes.

On Sunday Papa left early again, and Mo Mo came over. We waited to hear how the first game went. Grangers won! They were playing in the championship. We went over for that game. It started off ok, and then it poured, and the game was suspended for about an hour. The game resumed. The Grangers lost, but they showed more heart than any other team. As they say "For the Love of the Game!"

after the championship game, it was time to go home. We decided to go through the US instead of Canada. My mom drove through New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and a little bit into Michigan. Then she passed the wheel over to GG. I finally fell asleep in the car around 11 pm. I passed the time watching Shrek the Third and Elmo in Grouchland.

Whew! What a weekend. I am a well traveled kid.

I hear the secrets that you keep... when you're talking in your sleep!

So, we had an interesting night at our house. Here's the breakdown:

My Mom: OK, I'll take it.

My Mom: Here's some milk.

Me: No, I want chocolate milk.

My Mom: OK, give it back to me, and I'll make it chocolate. Here's your chocolate milk.

Me: (I pretend to drink the milk) All done!

5:45 AM

Me: giggle, giggle, giggle, giggle

Me: No, you a snickelfritz.

Me: giggle, giggle, giggle

Me: No, you funny!

Check me out. I'm entertaining even when I'm sleeping.

Pictures from Tuesday and Wednesday

These aren't great pictures, but they're all I have. Two are from Tuesday -- when I was playing the duck game with Papa. One is from when I was waiting for my cast to dry.

If it ain't broke... but if it IS broken...

I know you're all waiting to hear about my Sunday after my last teaser.

On Sunday, my mom and I went to Granny Nanny and Uncle Nerd's to visit. I love it up there -- it's always fun. I was throwing balls into the hoop by the pool (I know you're surprised about that...or not). When a ball went in the water, I tried to crouch down and reach out to get it. My mom told me "absolutely not!" Later I did the same thing, only this time I lost my balance and fell in.

By the time my mom finished screaming "Xavier!" Granny Nanny and Uncle Nerd were in the water to help me. My mom says I sank a bit and then I kicked my legs and moved my arms. I started to come back to the top, and Granny Nanny went under water to help me. She said my eyes were really big under the water, but my mouth was closed. My mom says Granny Nanny's eyes were really big when she came to the top. I didn't drink any water, and I didn't even cry much. I just said "That scared me."

On Sunday evening we went to my friend V's (Vivian) house to play. Emma went too. I was excited to see my two friends, and V has lots of cool toys. She has a trampoline, a swingset, a car you can drive, lots of balls and other toys too. I even drove her Cadillac Escalade! My mom had to help me steer though. When I was at V's, I was standing on her scooter -- it was the kind you push with your feet. I fell off of it onto the driveway. I pretty much jumped back up and kept playing until it was time to go home.

At home, I told my mom that my leg hurt. When she asked where, I pointed to my left thigh. I wasn't really crying, though. I went to bed, and on Monday morning when my mom got me out of bed, I started to cry and scream when she bent my legs in toward my chest. This is unusual for me so my mom took me to the ER. The ER was kind of fun. I got to sit in a bed and watch Sesame Street and eat Lucky Charms. They even had a bed where me and my mom could sit and they wheeled us to get an x-ray of my leg. The doctor thought it was broken so they put me in a splint. No walking for me!

After the ER, I went to my mom's work for a little bit. I got to tell everyone my story. Then we went home, and I took a 4 hour nap. I woke up when my mom said that Papa was at my house. What? Papa came to my house? Awesome! That night my mom, Papa and me went to Genji's -- the Japanese steak house in Midland. You should have seen me eat some filet, chicken, rice and soup. It was so yummy! Then we went to Dairy Queen, and I shared a M&M blizzard with my mom.

On Tuesday, I spent the day with my Papa. We had a lot of fun. Papa took me for a walk downtown. Then we met my mom for lunch, and then I went home to take a nap. When my mom got home from work, she found me and Papa playing my new duck game. I told my mom I wanted to go to the movie and eat popcorn. So we all went to see G-force. It was funny, and I got to eat some popcorn (and some M&Ms).

Today, Wednesday, I went to see the orthopaedic surgeon about my leg. He said the x-rays aren't conclusive, and the fact that I played on my leg and didn't really complain about pain confused him even more. Just to be safe, we decided I should have a walking cast. But -- it's only for 2 weeks, and I can walk with it! I even got to pick my own color for my cast. I was going to pick Blue and Maize, but they didn't have blue.

Can you guess what color I chose?

Last Saturday

Hello X-fans! That's what I call you guys -- X-fans. I'm the X-man, and you're my X-fans.

I had a great day last Saturday. First I went to football class. Coach Tom taught us running play right and running play left. He also taught us how to cradle the ball and how to pull other people's flags off. It was a lot of fun!

Then my mom and I went to Kristen's house to see Kristen, Megan and Evan. We went to Metro Beach together. We played at the spray park and on the playground. We also ate fruit snacks, chips, drink boxes, french fries, popcorn and Skittles. Doesn't that sound like a perfect day? I didn't even get sunburned or anything (my mom did, though).

I've got to say -- it was a great Saturday!

Wait until you hear about my Sunday...

Weekend Recap

Here it is -- Wednesday, and I haven't filled any of you in on my weekend. It was another busy one.

On Friday, we drove down to Toldeo because Auntie Di Di's son, Jason, was getting married. Jason is one of 4 McKinnon brothers, and they were all there: Patrick, Andy, Kelly, and Jason. The wedding was outside, and it was really nice. We had chicken for dinner. It was scrumptious! In fact, I liked it so much, I ate my piece and most of my mom's. I also had two pieces of cake. When it came time to dance, I danced a little bit with Papa, GG and Mom. One time, Kelly danced with my mom. I didn't like that so much. I started to cry and said, "That's my mommie." Around 10, Papa took me and Mom back to the hotel. As we were leaving, my mom was carrying me down three steps. She tripped or something on the first step and started to fall. She fell from the third step to the bottom and onto her knees, but...I never even touched the floor! My mom is superwoman!

On Saturday, we went to the Tigers game with Uncle Josh. It was awesome! The Tigers rallied in the bottom of the 9th to send it into extra innings. Then they won in the 10th. There were three ladies sitting in back of us. They were flirting with me (of course). One tried to take my paci. I was not having any of that. I told her "NO!"

On Sunday, Papa played a baesball game in Bay City. We went to it, and it started off great, but then it started to rain. It poured. Mommie and I waited in the car for a bit. When it stopped raining, we went back to watch the game. After the game, we hurried back to Midland. We had to run an errand at the mall, and it closes at 6 pm. We got there at 5:45. Mommie carried me to the store, and we made it in time. Then we went to Target, and then we went to Meijer. It was a very busy day!

Beautiful Piggies

Tonight when me and mom were eating popcorn in bed (it's our Sunday night ritual), we were discussing her toes. See, she had a pedicure this week, and she let me pick out the color. I picked out purple. Anyway, I was looking at her toes, and I said "I pick that color."

She said, "Yes, you did a good job."

I said, "You like purple."

Mommie said, "I love it!"

"Why?"

"Because you picked it out. Do you want purple on your toes too?"

I said, "No."

My mom said, "Why?"

I told her, "Because my feet already beautiful."

And there you have it.

What a Life!

Here's the low down on what I've been up to.

On Friday, my mom picked me up from school. We were going to go to the park, but it was raining. Instead my mom took me to the "cheap" movie theater to see "Earth." It was a Disney movie that came out on Earth Day. James Earl Jones -- A University of Michigan alum! -- narrated the story about various families of animals. I really liked it. That's why I talked throughout the entire movie. When I saw the baby ducks walking, I said "Look! They shake their booties." When the wolf was chasing the caribou I told my mom that the wolf was not nice and not making a good choice. One time a baby elephant couldn't see because the wind was bowing sand in his eyes, and he walked into a tree. I told my mom "He no watch where he going. Run into tree. Boom!" Finally, a leopard was chasing a gazelle, and my mom told me they were playing. When the leopard threw the gazelle to the ground my mom said the leopard made a bad choice, but I corrected her right away. "The leopard is hugging the baby deer."

On Saturday, my mom and I met Papa and GG by our house to go up north to Mackinac Island. Mackinac Island is a historic island in Lake Huron by the Upper Peninsula. It is the site of Fort Mackinac, and historical events happened there. We went because my Papa had a game there. We had to take a ferry over from Mackinac City to Mackinac Island. It was cool -- the ferry had a rooster tail the entire time. The Island was a lot of fun, even though it was kind of cold. They had tons of ice cream. And guess what? No cars are allowed on the island! You can walk, ride a bike or take a horse drawn taxi. I liked the horses a lot. Every time I saw one, I would say "Way to go horsey! Way to go!" I even saw a horse pee! I thought that was really cool. After my nap, my mom put me in my Granger uniform -- just like Papa's, and we had to go up the hill to the game. We had a lot to carry, so we took a taxi! It was awesome!

Papa's team won the game, and after the game, we all went to a bar to celebrate. Even me! After we partied, we went back to our hotel. I was a little hyper so I was running and sliding. Then the front desk called our room because someone reported that there was a party going on in our room. Well, duh! I was there, and I am a party all by myself. I didn't even go to sleep until 11 o'clock. I partied like a rock star!

It was a great weekend.

Smooches.

What I learned at school

Yesterday my mom coughed in her hand, and I said "No! Cough in your elbow. No get germs."

See? I'm paying attention.

Weekend Update

I know you are just dying to know what I did this weekend. Never fear, I'm here to let you know.

On Friday, me, Papa and Mommie went to dinner. Then we walked to Dairy Queen. I always get a twist cone with sprinkles. My mom had a blizzard. I saw the blizzard had chocolate chunks in it, so I said "Trade," and I started to eat her blizzard. Hey -- I'm not some dumb kid. I ate a lot of it too!

On Saturday, I went to soccer class, but I didn't really feel like playing. After my nap on Saturday, we went to Papa's base ball game. The Grangers won, and I played base ball while I watched. I get hit the ball off the pitch! After the game, we stopped at 7-Eleven -- the date was 7-11 -- and got our free slurpees. I got Cherry and Sour Apple mixed -- delicious!

On Sunday, we went to the Tigers game. It was a lot of fun, and they won! My Tiger, Brandon Inge, hit 2 home runs. The guy sitting next to GG was really loud, and he scared me and made me cry. At the Tigers game I ate: Nacho chips, Edy's Dibs and drank some Diet Pepsi. Yummy!

It was a great weekend for me. Hope it was great for you.

Next weekend we are going to Mackinac Island for Papa's game.

Gems from X

Here are some things I've recently said:

"Keep your hands off my friend!" Said to my mom when she was ticking me in the park. Even I don't know who I meant when I said "friend."

"I drive us to imagination station." This is what I told my mom when I got in the play car at the park. Imagination Station is the school I go to when I'm at my Papa and GG's.

"Mommie, Michael Jackson not a bad boy...he made a bad choice." I am now obssessed with MJ, and we were listening to "Bad" in the car.

Happy (Belated) Birthday America

July 4th was America's Birthday. I learned that in school. I had a great weekend.

On Friday, July 3. My Papa and Mommie were going to take me to a park to play. At the very last minute Uncle Gosh jumped in Papa's car and went with us. That was a great surprise! This park we went to is really cool. It has a hill made of astroturf, and you can slide down it on a cardboard box. After the park, we went to my mom's hair salon. She was getting it cut, and she wanted to show me off. They loved my hair.

On Friday night, Papa, GG, me and my Mommie took me to see Ice Age II. It was really funny. I liked Buck a lot. I also liked eating lots and lots of popcorn.

On Saturday, my Mommie and I went to eat lunch with her friend Eric. We went to the Original House of Pancakes -- so yummy! Eric bought me a big Michigan pampasan chair. It's awesome. Saturday evening, we went to Granny Nanny's house. Noah was there, and we had a great time. We played and went in Granny Nanny's pool. At one point Noah even took off his clothes and jumped in -- what a crazy guy! On Saturday night, we also watched Granny Nanny's neighbor light fireworks. At first I was scared, but then Papa explained that the noise couldn't hurt me. So I told everyone "Don't be scared. Noise no hurt you. They're pretty." I also got to hold some "parklers" aka "sparklers." That was a lot of fun too!

On Sunday, we went to Miss Sharon's on Sylvan Lake to watch fireworks. They have really great fireworks. The whole time I kept telling everyone "They not scary. They pretty." My favorites were the blue and green ones. After the fireworks, we packed up and went home. I didn't get home until midnight!

It was a great weekend!

Just some news

Hello Bay-bay!

Let me tell you about my weekend. On Saturday morning, I went to soccer class. It was lots of fun. We played a real game! My mommie said "Get the ball X, get the all X!" I think she was more excited than me. One time Ella had the ball, and my mom told me to get it. So then I ran up from behind her and did a slide tackle! Even Ella's dad said "Way to go X!"

After soccer class, my mom took me to her grade school reunion. She spent the whole time talking. Boring! I spent the whole time eating Doritos, chips, skittles and Flav-or-Ices. One of the dads brought a big bounce house, and that was lots of fun! After the reunion I went back to Papa and GGs, and I went in my pool. I love my pool!

Yesterday after school, my mom took me to Genji's. It is a Japanese steak house. You sit around a grill, and they cook your food right in front of you. The chef had a big knife. I told him "Hey, you be careful with that knife." I had two bowls of soup, some rice, and a lot of filet. It was yummy.

Today after school, my mom took me to the all to play because it wasn't nice outside. I was climbing on some of the stuff in the play area, and my mom told me that when I was little, I couldn't climb on it. So I went over to another toy and climbed on it. Then I told my mom "When you were little you couldn't climb on this either." It was a good night!

Talk to you later.

One more thing -- I can hold up two fingers, and I can hold up three fingers --- ad I know whether it's two or three!
