Merry Christmas to All

Merry Christmas everyone. Sorry it's been so long since I've posted, but I've been very busy. My Uncle Butch is in town and the whole family has been together. I will give you a recap of what's been happening in my life.

Saturday, December 20: We went to Granny Nanny's Hanukkah party. It was a lot of fun! Noah was there, and he and I ran around like crazy people. But poor Noah -- he bumped his lip and his head. It was a great time -- until the doughnut incident. I was eating powered sugar doughnut holes. I had about 3 of them, and I was covered in powdered sugar. I tried to grab another one, and my mom said no. I was not happy about it so I pitched a royal fit. After my mom took the one I had out of my hand, I tried to grab the last one, but my mom wasn't having it. She put them in a bag for us to take home. But I carried on and carried on. She finally took me in a different room so we could talk. We agreed that I would have one doughnut then and one the next day. Worked for me. When my mom gave me the remaining doughnut on Sunday, I said "Bad choice doughnut. Timeout."

Monday, December 22: After school, my mom and I went to Emma's house to exchange gifts. I really like Emma, and I love to go to her house. She has a lot of stuff for me to play with. Emma got me this really cool airplane and Pooh and Tigger shirt.

Wednesday, December 24: After I woke up, my Uncle Butch came home. I was really excited to see him. We have been playing a lot of football. I hold the football and say "Hike!" Then I run and Uncle Butch chases me. What could be more fun than that? We also went to the mall to say goodbye to Santa. We sang songs and helped Santa leave so he could take the sleigh to the North Pole to gather up the toys he had to deliver. After a long nap, I got dressed in my Christmas outfit -- what a stud! Then we went for Chinese food (family tradition) and then to church. We had candles at church so I wanted to sing Happy Birthday, but we didn't. After church we went to the McKinnons' -- another family tradition. We had a lot of fun at the McKinnons. It was a great Christmas Eve!

I saw Dr. Juarbe today. He said I'm a big boy. Duh! I am 36 1/2 inches tall, and I weigh 31 pounds and 13 ounces. That puts me in the 95% for heighth and the 85% for weight.

I was in performance mode for Dr. Juare. I told him who was going to be President ("Bak-A-Mama!"). I counted up to 14 without prompting. I pointed out an X and an M, and I sang Hail to the Victors. When he was looking at my right leg, I said "Xavier's right foot." He was impressed. Don't tell anyone, but that was the first time I ever got that right!

Dr. Juarbe told my mom to keep up the good work. Go Mommy!

I saw Santa

Last Saturday, we went to see Santa. While we waited in line I said "Hi Santa! Ho Ho Ho!" But when it came time to sit on Santa's lap, I said "I don't think so!" I made my mommy sit on his lap with me. When Santa asked me if I had been I good boy I told him my mom says I'm a good boy, and sometimes I make bad choices. When Santa asked me what I wanted, I said "World Peace." Pysch! I don't even know what that is!

After we saw Santa, my Papa gave me coins to throw into the fountain. I thought that was pretty fun!

My Birthday -- Part I

post signature

For those of you who don't know, on Saturday, November 29, 2008 I turned 2! My mom and GG threw me a big party. It was awesome! We had it at a bar. People thought that was funny - I guess because I can't drink. The theme was Sesame Street and "This Party was Brought to You by the Letter X and the Number 2." Get it? "X" and "2"

My mom and GG did a good job of decorating the bar; check out the pictures. They hung some signs, and they decorated the tables to look like Elmo, Cookie Monster and Big Bird. How awesome is that! And did you see my cake? It had lots of Sesame Street characters on it. It was really good too.

I'm going to tell you more about it, but you'll have to wait until a different post. In the meantime, enjoy the pictures.

My Birthday -- Part I

I have a lot to be thankful for

Let's start with the fact that Abu was in town; only now that I'm 2 I sometimes call him Uncle Butch. I had a lot of fun with Abu. We even went outside to play in the snow!

On Thanksgiving, we went to the Lions' game. Surprise, surprise -- they lost! But I still had fun watching the game with Papa, Abu, Uncle Gosh and Mom. After the game, we went up to the Fortiers for dinner. Jeppy ("Jeffy") cooked a really good dinner. He cooked a huge turkey -- it was funny because the thermometer said it was done, but when Uncle Nerd tried to carve it, it wasn't done. We finished cooking it in the microwave. It was still really good. We also had corn pudding, stuffing, macaroni and cheese, creamed spinach and rolls. And guess what? Granny Nanny's cousin Camilo was there with his wife Jennifer and their kids Noah and Sarah. I love to play with Noah; we have a lot of fun. After dinner, we had some really good cookies that GG bought for me and Noah.

We went home shortly after dinner because everyone was tired. And my mom and GG were going to get up early to be at Parisian by 4 am on Friday. All those bargains brings out their competitive natures!

All in all, it was a good Thanksgiving. I am a fortunate boy.

Can you dig it? I kept telling my mom it was time to update my blog. She finally did. Actually, she didn't do it; Jennisa did it. You can check her out at www.onceuponablog.org I think she did a great job, don't you?

The Latest and Greatest

My mommie almost got in trouble because someone told me she wasn't being a good mommie. They said that because she took me to the Lions' game on Sunday, and the Lions are a realy bad football team. I mean really bad. But I like to go. I eat hot dogs, popcorn, and pretzels and I get to see them kick the ball and spike it and score touchdowns. Actually, the Lions don't score much. But I still had fun.

Tonight we went to dinner with Lianne. She's really nice to me. She brought me back grapes from the salad bar. They were yummy. We had a lot of fun. She laughs at the way I say Barack Obama. I say "Moc-amama." Right before I went to bed, I said to my mommy, "We-anne pay a Xavier." That means Lianne played with Xavier.

Uncle Abu is coming to visit me on Thursday. I can't wait!

What a day!

You would not believe the Saturday I had! First my mom took me to the Michigan game. I was really excited to go, but it was raining. My mom put us in warm clothes and ponchos, and she put gloves on me. By the time we got to the bus to take us to the game, I had lost one. Oops. Then we got to the game and it was raining and snowing all at the same time! We were getting soaked, so right around the end of the first quarter my mom decided we should leave. The only problem was that the buses weren't running yet so we had no way to get to our car. We decided to try and hail a cab. It was a great idea -- in fact, it was so great about 20 or 30 other people had it. My mom flagged down three cabs, but each time someone outran her and took it. In her defense, she was carrying me and we were both wet. Just as my mom started to cry (I told her "No Cry Mama"), a lady asked if we needed a ride to our car. Her mom had just picked up her, and they saw us try to get the three cabs. My mom said she was our Wolverine angel. We finally got to our car and went home. Whew!

Later on Saturday night, we went to Von Maur to get my silhouette done. I don't really know what that is, but my mom and GG really wanted one. You should have see the great clothes my mom got me. I mean they were fabulous! Anyhoo, on the way home there was an accident. It happened ahead of us. Some guy was carrying mattresses. GG was driving and had no where to go to swerve so we ran over a mattress. It got stuck under the car. Can you beleive it! We called the Po-Po, and they called a tow truck. The tow truck put the chains on Papa's car, and all of a sudden, our car was up on an angle and we were in it. It was cool! The guys pulled out the mattress and we drove home.

Thank goodness we got home safely today. It was a good day -- I had a lot of fun, but man am I tired!

My friend Doc

Yesterday, my friend Doc came over to play with me when GG went to the hair salon (she looks fab by the way). He said he would read to me, and I love reading so I climbed up into his lap with a book. He's a very good reader (not as great as Papa), but still very good. I highly recommend him.

Some things are chromosomal

This weekend my mom and I went to Jennifer's house to watch the Michigan football game. Kristen was there with her kids Evan and Megan. We had a lot of fun. Megan and I love to watch football. I got to eat a lot of gummie Lifesavers, Pringles and popcorn. What more can you want. On Saturday night me, Mama, Papa and GG went to B-W3 to eat dinner. When we walked in I looked at all the TVs they had. Sports were on every last one of them. I was in seveth heaven.

On Sunday my mom took me to see Madagascar 2. It was really good. I like the "moobies" and the popcorn I get to eat there. My mom said I was really good. I sat still for over an hour -- except for when I danced with the music in the movie, but that doesn't count.

On Sunday my mom said she had to go pee pee in the potty. I said "I comin," and went with her. When we got there, I sat on my potty. Then without any prompting I pulled out a Golf Magazine to read. Here's a picture.

Yes, we can!

Last weekend when my mom was home she talked to me about the upcoming elections. Apparently, I'm not old enough to vote. What's up with that? I'm very smart, and I'd make smart choices. Anyway, she said that all elections are important, but this one had historical implications because either a bi-racial man would be President or a woman would be Vice President. I was like "All Right!" She explained to me that Obama was a bi-racial man raised by his white mom and her parents. I thought that sounded kinda familiar -- just like me. She said it was a sign that I can do and be anything I want to. No duh -- I told you I'm very smart.

Halloween

I gotta say, I love Halloween. You get to put on a fun costume and go to parties and get candy for free! I dressed up as a monkey. On Thursday, I wore my costume to a party at the day care by my Papa and GG, and my Papa and GG came to the party. We had a lot of fun. I got to play outside, and we had a Pinata? Do you know what a Pinata is? It is the big thing that you get to hit and hit and hit until it breaks open, and then candy falls out of it. I was like "What? I get to hit this thing with a boomba? Bring it on!" It was a lot of fun.

On Friday my mom and Papa picked me up form daycare. Yea -- my mom is back! They brought my monkey costume and put it on me. I then went to Parisian to see my friend Jackie. I went to Papa and GG's neighborhood and went trick or treating to a few houses. I can't believe how easy it is to get candy from these people! After I got new candy I wanted to open it right away and taste test. We also went to see Jennifer and Christopher. I sang Hail to the Victors with Jennifer. Then we went to Granny Nanny and Uncle Nerd's. You should see all the tricks Uncle nerd can do with a football!

All in all, it was a great Halloween!

Mickey and Cookies

Miska Mouska Mickey Mouse!

The week before Halloween, my mom took me, Papa and GG to see Disney Live. I was wondering where we were going. We went to the Palace where the Pistons play basketball and "shoop" hoops. It got dark and all of a sudden Mickey Mouse showed up. I said "ooh!" All of Mickey's friends were there, including Minnie, Donald Duck and Goofy. I kept saying "Hi Goopy! Hi Goopy!" He said he right back to me. I had a really good time -- they played lots of music so I was able to get my groove on.

Here are some pictures from Disney live and from me enjoying my favorite kind of cookies -- butter cookies with frosting. Doesn't look like I enjoyed the cookies?

Not this weekend, last weekend

Hi Everyone!

I had a very busy weekend last weekend, as usual. It started off on Saturday when I went to the pumpkin patch with Papa, GG and Mama. I had a lot of fun running through the pumpkins. I even imitated the scarecrow which made everyone laugh.

Last Sunday I went to Baby Loves Disco with GG, Mama, Kristen, Evan and Megan. It was awesome! Baby Loves Disco is a dance club for young kids. We went to the Crobar in Pontiac. They had a DJ, bubbles, snacks, balloons and lots of dancing. I did the Hokey Pokey with the big bear that was there. You should see me put my right elbow in! Evan got his face painted like Spider Man -- he looked really cool!

Lots of girls wanted to dance with me. They were all like "Hi X. Want to dance?" Sometimes I said yes, but sometimes I had to play it cool so I was all like "I'm good right now, but I'll catch you on the next song." I totally ran the place!

I'm going to post some pictures from the pumpkin patch and the disco in a different post.

See ya.

The Great Pumpkin is Here!

On Saturday night I went to the Van Hoosen farm to see the pumpkin lighting. It was really cool because there were 850 pumpkins all lit up at the same time! Here are some pictures, including me and my new smile technique. I hope you like it because I have a feeling lots of pictures will have this smile in them for a while.

Xavier

And I'm back

I was away for a minute but now I'm back in it.

So the last time I spoke to you all, Michigan had come from behind to beat Wisconsin. But since then, my Wolverines have not done so well. We lost to Illinois -- I didn't go to that game -- and we lost to Toledo -- I WAS at that game. It is so sad, but I still love my Wolverines!

I didn't go to the Illinois game because my mom fell the night before the game and sprained her ankle. She fell right in front of Papa and GG's house. Somehow she carried me in the house, but she cried the whole time. I told her "No cry, Mama. It's ok." We went to the ER, and my mom came home with something called crutches. I don't care what she calls them, to me they were great big boombas!

Here's an update on some things I say now:
-- What up
-- How oo doin? (How YOU doin)
-- Imma man (I'm the man!)
-- Let's Go Blue
--Ooh, scare me (Ooh, that scared me)

Hope you are all well.

And Michigan Wins! And the Fifer is Gone!

I went tothe Big House with my mom on Saturday to watch the Wolverines play football. It was horrible for a while. My poor Wolverines didn't even have 50 yards of total offense in the first half. We looked just awful. But, I was having a lot of fun. I love to watch football.

At half time, my mom and I went for a walk. She told me she had to go pee pee in the potty. She says this because she thinks it is going to make me want to go pee pee in the potty too. Whatever -- diapers are soooooo much easier for me. Anyway, my job is to flush the toilet, and I am great at it. I can get it flushed about 5 times while my mom is in there. At the Big House, we went into a stall, and my mom was trying to get the door to stay closed. I saw this as my opportunity to get some extra flushes in. My mom started to go to the bathroom, and I stood in front of her. Before she knew what was happening, I threw my fifer (aka "paci") right into the toilet between her legs! My mom stood up and looked in the toilet only to see it floating. She was trying to decide how much she was willing to do to save it, when I flushed the toilet. We both stood there and watched the fifer go down the toilet. During the second half, I asked for my fifer and my mom just kept telling me it went down the toilet.

Speaking of second half, that was awesome! My Wolverines made a great comeback. Everytime we scored or did something great, my eyes got really big and I clapped my hands. I also exchanged high fives and daps with everyone around me. I even shouted "Lets go blue!" And you know what, they went!

I love going to football games with my mom.

I dapped Abu

My Uncle Butch, aka Abu, sends me videos to watch on the computer. I love to watch them. It's the longest I sit still! At the end of the video, Abu wants me to give him daps so I hold my fist up to the computer and we bump knuckles. Then I tell my mom "I dapped Abu."

Here is a video so you can see what I'm talking about.

Future Wolverines

Here are some pictures of me and Megan from the Michigan v. Notre Dame game.
P.S. Megan is the one in the cheerleading outfit!

Almost Recovered

From Michigan's game against ND. RichRod really needs to get it together. I'm pretty good at throwing and running (I can even get into a 3-point stance), maybe I should suit up for my Wolverines!

Other than that game, I had a good weekend. My mom and I watched the game at Mrs. Schulz' house. Mrs. Schulz is Kristen's mom and Megan and Evan's grandma. We watched the game with Leslie, Jennifer and Mrs. Lewis (Megan and Evan's other grandma). I had a lot of fun playing. Mrs. Schulz has a really long family room so I could run back and forth. Evan and Megan were running too. Evan is super fast!

Today my GG dropped me off at a new daycare. I cried when she left, but then I stopped crying because I was having a lot of fun. I just figure it's a whole new group of admirers for me to win over.

Trying to Catch Up

Hello my adoring fans. It's been a while since I've posted, but it's been crazy busy. My mom is getting ready for a trial in Illinois.

Last weekend my Wolverines won their football game. Go Blue! Everytime I see a block M, I yell "Go Blue!" I can recognize an M now. I also know the color white. I didn't go to the game, though. I stayed with Papa and GG, and we went to Arts 'n Apples with the Maurinias. On Sunday we went to Saginaw to watch Papa's base ball team play the Saginaw Old Golds. He was able to play again, which was great! The Grangers played hard, but they lost the game.

On Tuesday, Mr. Copenhaver came over to play with me and Papa while my mom drove to Cleveland for work. We had a lot of fun!

That's pretty much it for now, but I'll be back.

Wednesday, September 3, 2008

My Poor Wolverines! But -- still darn glad I'm not a Nut! (you know what I mean)

Oh no! My Wolverines lost on Saturday. It was a bummer! My mom took me to the game (she's so nice), and we had a lot of fun. I had a hot dog, some of my mom's pretzel, some cheez-its, some diet coke and some water. It was really, really hot so my mom dumped water over my head. I thought that was pretty cool. I liked to watch the game. When my mom sat down, I would stand on her lap to watch the action.

I can't wait to go to another game. Until then, I am always a

WOLVERINE!

Hail to the Victors Valiant! Go Blue!

Shout out to Tommy and Kim

Check out the slide show of me and Pooh and Tigger and Eeyore. They were gifts from Tommy. Aren't they cool? I love to wrestle with them.

Hi to Kim (Tommy's sister) she sent me awesome DEA shirts. And she always tells me -- Say No to Drugs!

X and Pooh (and Tigger and Eeyore)

Have you ever wondered?

Have you ever wondered what happens after a 20-month old has lunch with his mom and her friend, gets a haircut, and plays outside all in one day and without taking a nap?

Here's what happens. You fall asleep at the dinner table. Hey -- at least they didn't draw on my face or shave my eyebrows!

My First Haircut

Oh No You Did-n't!

So let me tell you what happened yesterday. My mom took me to the mall to play in the playland. First we ate. My mom had Subway. I had McDonald's -- french fries and milk. When it comes to french fries, I like to "dut em" (dump them) out on the table and pick out the "bidt" (big) ones.

After we ate, we went to the playland. There was a girl about 5 running around, and she ran right into me and then looked at me like I was the one who caused the collision. I wasn't having it so I looked at her, pointed my finger at her and told her "No!" Every time I saw her at the play land I pointed at her and told her "No!" She eventually stopped coming near me. I think I got my point across.

I think my mom was proud that I stood up for myself.

I'm going to have a New Friend!

How exciting is this? Are you ready for it? Are you sitting down? You better be sitting down!

One of my favorite people of all time -- Ryan -- is going to have a baby! She and Stuart have been trying really hard. They are like 15 weeks pregnant. Yea! Im so excited; I can't wait to meet the baby.

My mom says they are not going to find out if it is a boy or a girl, so I guess I have to wait and see if I'm going to have a girlfriend (or as Rhonda says -- a prom date. Hi Rhonda!) or another buddy. Either way, it is going to be awesome!

Hair and Words

So, last Saturday I got my first haircut. I got to sit in a race car for it. I had 4 adults there to watch -- Papa, GG, Mama and Osh. Can you believe it -- 4 adults to watch moi get his hair cut! She cut off a lot of hair. My curls just went flying all over the place. Even with short hair, I look good!

I am saying lots of words now. I mean it is truly amazing people -- TRULY! Here's a list of some of the words I say and the stories behind them:

"Oh nu not!" When I'm really doing something I shouldn't, my mom tells me "absolutely not," and this is how I say it.

"Im a minute." My mom usually gives me a warning before we are going to stop doing one thing and start doing another, like when it is going to be time to go inside. She says "Xavier -- in 10 minutes we are going inside." Now when she asks me to do something I say "im a minute." It gets her good!

"Running!" It just means that me or someone is running.

"Money" Yep just what you think it is.

"Pocket" This is where I put my money.

"Gabbage" This is where you put trash.

"Yeah" Probably my newest and favorite word at the moment

"Bidt!" This means big.

"Dart" This means dark.

"Outtide" This is where I always want to go -- outside.

"Huzzah" This means hurray, and I learned it at Papa's base ball game

As you can see, I am very smart and getting smarter all the time.

Talk to you later,

X

The Toledo Zoo

Hi everyone. I need to catch you on the "goings on" in my life. Last weekend, as in August 15, we went to the Toledo Zoo. It was awesome! I saw tigers, penguins, eagles and polar bears. I also petted a guinea pig and a goat. That was a lot of fun. Papa and GG took me on a carousel, and we all went to a butterfly house -- it was hot in there! The polar bears were really funny; they were jumping all over the place. I wil post some pictures as soon as my mom gets her act together.

The Week of Abu

If you are one of my many loyal fans, you know that Abu (Uncle Butch) was in town this week. We had a great time! We played at the park, and we played Boomba. We also went to see the Narr's where I rode a scooter and shot a water gun. It was awesome! Abu taught me how to say "Ready...Go!" He also taught me how to run the bases after I hit the ball.

My mom took half a vacation day on Friday and came to Papa's house early. She said she had to survey the damage to figure out how long it was going to take to undo. NO idea what that means! On Friday night, me, Papa, Abu, Osh (Uncle Josh) and Momma went to the Tiger's game. The Tiger's did not win, but we had fun. Abu let me stand in the aisle and dance, dance, dance. I got a lot of attention, which I love. We stayed to watch the fireworks ("Booms!").

On Saturday, we went out to breakfast. Then we went to a Pet Pageant in downtown Rochester. I liked the dogs dressed up as Michigan fans the best. SOme dog dressed like a Spartan won third place...seriously? I didn't even get how that costume was cute or anything. On Saturday night, we were going to go to Dancing in the Streets in Rochester, but it was cold and rainy. Instead, me, GG and Momma went to Nordstrom's so they could get my feet measured. In case, you are wondering, my right foot is bigger than my left foot. But, that's totally normal. Since we had lost power at home, we stayed at the mall until it closed. I rode the Up and Downs (escalators, people) with my mom for a long time. I didn't want to go to bed that night, but GG told me a story until I fell asleep.

On Sunday, I went to church. I was really good. I kept saying "Huzzah!" During the Lord's Prayer, I kept shouting "Amen!" but no one seemed to mind. Then we went to P.F. Chang's for lunch. I had a protein bar and some goldfish crackers. Finally, my mom and I headed north to Midland.

It was a busy week, but a lot of fun!

I know I owe you all pictures...my mom can't find the camera.

Sorry to have kept you waiting

You all are my adoring fans, and you are so good to me. I apologize that I haven't blogged in a while, but it has been crazy on my end.

Did I tell you that I went to a Loons game with Michelle, Scott, Emma -- and Ryan, my GF? It was a lot of fun. I ate some pretzels and some M&Ms. We also went to a carnival at daycare that day. They had a skee-ball game that I liked a lot. I don't actually know what skee-ball is, but that's what my Mom called it. I just know that it had balls I could throw!

Not last weekend, but two weekends ago, we had quite a scare. On Saturday, I was home with Papa and GG. GG heard a thump, and then she heard me saying "Papa." My Papa had a seizure and fell out of bed. My GG called 911 and everything. It was really scary, but I went to Mrs. Martin and her granddaughter Maddy took really good care of me. We spent most of Saturday and Sunday at the hospital with Papa. I was really good and charmed everyone (no surprise there!). He came home that Sunday, which is good. Now he just has lots and lots of tests. Also, no driving for at least 6 months. Apparently that's a real bummer. I don't see what the big deal is -- I haven't driven in over 20 months. Anyway, I don't care as long as he is ok. I can drive him whereever he needs to go -- just don't tell my Mom!

I guess that's it for now. This past weekend was exciting, but I will blog about that later. Also, Abu is in town this week so you know it's going to be wild and crazy!

Love ya,
X

Happy Birthday to Grandma Gertrude!

Yesterday, Sunday, July 20, I went to Grandma Gertrude's 80th birthday party. Who is Grandma Gertrude? She is Granny Nanny's mommie. Got it? Granny Nanny is my close friend and neighbor at Papa and GG's. We had a good time. I saw my friend Noah at the party, and I also saw some boats!

On Saturday, Momma, GG and Papa took me to a splash park. It was a lot of fun. Then we went to Culver's. I had chicken, hots, chocolate milk and some custard. It was yummy. On Saturday night my momma took me to see our friend Mike play football. At the end of the first half, Mike's team was losing 46 to nothing -- not good. We left at the end of the first half because I had to go to bed.

This week is going to be awesome! We are having a carnival at daycare on Thursday. I can't wait! It's going to be so much fun. And -- my girlfriend Ryan will be in town, and we are going to a Loons' baseball game with her. That will be even more fun than the carnival.

Want to hear something funny? Yesterday, my mom and I were at home, and she was trying to put groceries away. She wanted me to go play so she said "Go play with your balls, Xavier!" I cracked up!

Have a good week.

The Poopie Breakthrough

That's right people, I said Poopie Breakthrough. Hey -- when you're 19 months old, it's a big deal!

When my mom picked me up from daycare yesterday, she noticed I was kind of crying. She asked me why, and I said "Poopie" and pointed to my booty. I was having a difficult time going to the bathroom so I kept saying (whining) "Poopie" and pointing to my booty.

This may not seem like a big deal, but it is and for the following reasons: (1) It shows that I'm listending to my mom when she asks me if I'm poopie; (2) It shows that I've learned another word; (3) It shows that I know when I have to go poopie; (4) It shows that I can tell my mom that I have to go poopie; and (5) It shows that I know from where the poopie comes.

See -- I told you this was a big deal! Yea for me!

Fourth of July

Hi everyone! I had a really great 4th of July weekend. Hope you did too!

On Thursday, we were supposed to go to the beach with Kristen, Evan and Megan (3/4 of the McKnights), but the weather was not cooperating. Instead, we went to the McKnights' house. Megan and I ate a lot of fake popcorn - we love that stuff! Then we went in the basement and played while my mom, Kristen and Evan played Wii. My mom hit Evan in the head about 3 times!

On Thursday night, we went to the our friends in Sylvan Lake to watch fireworks. When we got there, it was still light out, so I went to the beach and played in the water and in the sand. It was a lot of fun. I lost my sunglasses while we were there, but that's ok. I have another pair. I also played on the swings. My mom pushed me, and I said "Weee!" And, Uncle Osh showed up, and we played catch. Finally, it got dark, and the fireworks started. It was really loud. I liked to watch them, but I didn't like the noise. Every time there was a break, I'd say to my mom "All done?" I did not like the noise in the grand finale, but overall it was a good time. I didn't even get home until almost midnight.

When I finally got up the next day, it was 10:30. We went to the McKinnons for a BBQ. I was having a really good time running around the house. In fact, we probably would have stayed longer, but someone who shall remain nameless filled every last diaper his mom brought for him. Friday was a lot of fun. In fact, it was so much fun I did not want to go to sleep.

On Saturday, I went to Trevor's all star t-ball game with Papa and GG. It as a lot of fun. You should see those guys hit the ball. It was awesome! One day, I will hit theball like that, I just know it. On Saturday afternoon I went swimming at Club de Martine, aka Mrs. Martin's pool. I had a good time jumping in.

Then I went up to Granny Nanny's house. I went into her pool too. Uncle Osh was there, and he played with me in the pool. I had a spectacular time at Granny Nanny's. My friend Noah was there, and we played catch. We also played with bubbles, which is a lot of fun in case you didn't know. I posted a video of me and the bubbles. I was there until late. In fact, I was so tired that I feel asleep in the car in the driveway while my mom and Granny Nanny talked.

On Sunday, I went to church with Papa, Momma and Uncle Osh. When I looked up and saw the organist I yelled out "Abu" (Uncle Butch) because he had dark hair like Abu. I made it through the entire service without going to the nursery. I went up to communion with my mom so I could get my blessing. My diaper was full -- you think I have to ask for forgiveness for that? Just wondering. After church we went to Rainforest Cafe. I ate with gorillas and elephants. It was fun, except for the thunderstorms in there. That was kinda loud.

OK, there you have. A synopsis of my weekend. Synopsis is a very grown up word, isn't it.

Later!

Really Old Pictures

My mom is posting two slides shows --

One is pictures from when I turned one. I know they are old, but my mom thought you might want to see them anyway.

The other one is more pictures from when we were in Cancun. No matter how many times I look at them, I think "Boy, did we have fun. We partied like rock stars!"

My weekend has been very busy, but you will have to wait on Monday to hear more...

What a weekend!

Hello! This weekend was kind of crazy so I needed an extra day before I could talk about it.

On Friday, my momma, Papa, GG and I went to the Loons game in Midland. The Loons are a minor league baseball team. The game was great at first. I saw my friend Emma, and I had some french fries --or as I like to call them "Hots." But then it started to rain. We waited a while, but the sky was pretty scary so we left in the bottom of the 5th inning.

We had a lot planned for Saturday. I was going to go to Emma's house for a little bit, and then my mom and I were going to go to the pool at Delta College. Well, that is not even CLOSE to what happened. Ok, maybe a little close to what happened. When my mom woke up on Saturday, her face was all swollen and her right eye was almost closed because she had an allergic reaction to something. She fed me and dressed me (what a good mom), and then she dropped me off at Emma's and went to see a doctor. I had a blast at Emma's. She shared her toys with me, and we went for a stroller ride. Later, my mom and my GG picked me up from Emma's. I wasn't expecting that. We drove down to Papa and GG's house. I had fun playing Boomba (baseball, duh) down there.

On Sunday, I went to an art show with Papa and GG, and then my Papa drove me and mom back to Midland. Whew! What a weekend.

On Monday (as in yesterday), we had another swimming class. I kicked and paddled this time! I still don't get blowing bubbles, but I'm working on it. My favorite part is when I get to jump in the water. I love it!

This coming weekend we have lots of stuff planned. I have a packed social calendar, which is fine by me! I will keep you updated.

In the meantime, let me just say "Love you, love your show."

Lions and Tigers and Bears Oh my!

In the words of Grover -- "Hel-lo Every-Bo-dy!!!"

The highlight of my weekend was going to the Detroit Zoo with Kristen, Evan, Megan and Jennifer. Kristen took pictures so when we get them, I will post them for you to see. We had a lot of fun, and we saw a lot of animals. Did you know they just let the peacocks roam free? I thought that was pretty wild. I was disappointed that we didn't see the wolverine -- I guess it was sleeping. I bet it was getting its rest for football season. GO BLUE! -- sorry couldn't resist. Anyway, we saw giraffes and monkeys and gorillas. We also saw some seals and a polar bear. It was a lot of fun!

On Sunday, I had a lot of fun playing in my froggy pool and my water table. It's so much fun to splash and get everything and everyone wet! On Monday, my mom and I had our second swimming class. I really like it -- especially when I get to jump in! I practiced kicking and paddling and blowing bubbles. It makes me really tired, though.

Finally -- I want to say hi to Brandy. She read my blog all the way from Minnesota. Too bad you got married Brandy!

So Much to Say

I had a crazy week last week. Let me tell you about it. On Wednesday I went to have my picture taken. My mom takes me to see Jamie in Coleman, and she takes great pictures! (www.snaptotsphotos.com) My Papa and GG drove up to go with us. We were cruising along and almost at Jamie's house when I burped -- and then I spewed EVERYWHERE. It was gross -- smelled like raspberry pear yogurt. I've never seen GG so quick or so much in control of her gag reflex. We pulled into a parking lot, and she jumped out and started to clean me off. I rode the rest of the way in just my diaper. I was in a pretty good mood considering everything. I had my pictures taken, and I look handsome as ever!

On Saturday, I went to watch Papa play base ball. It was fun. My mom was interviewed by the Oakland Press, but they really wanted to talk to her about me. I am the star of the family after all. I was hyped up from all the attention, and I did not want to go to bed on Saturday. Eventually, and after a lot of patience displayed by Papa, I went to sleep.

And it's a good thing I did. Sunday was very busy. In the morning, Papa, GG, Momma and I went to see Kung Fu Panda. I really liked it. I sat on Papa's lap for 40 minutes and watched the show. I got to eat a lot of fake popcorn (don't ask). After a while, I wanted to get down so I climbed up and down the steps by our row. I saw a statue of the Incredible Hulk in the movie theater --he's almost as strong as me! After the movies, we had dinner and celebrated Father's Day. Then I ran up to see Uncle Nerd to give him a Father's Day gift. Then I got in the car with my mom and drove up to Midland.

It was a good weekend. I was a little tired this morning, but it wasn't too bad.

Tonight I have my first swim lesson!

Another Busy Weekend

So -- what did you all do over the last weekend? My weekend was kind of busy. On Saturday I drove to Midland with my mom and Papa (don't ask). I tried to ride my red tricycle at our house - I can already reach the pedals! We also stopped at my mom's work, which was fun. I got to play with some stones, and my mom let me push the buttons on the elevator.

On Saturday I went to two graduation parties. I went to Adrianne and Stephanie's house for their party. It was fun. They had a fountain in the back yard, and I played with it. My mom stripped me down to my diapers! On Saturday night, I went to Irina's graduation party. They had a playscape in their backyard, and I had fun playing with that. I got tired, though, so my mom took me home.

On Sunday, we went to the Pancake house for breakfast. Yummy! Then we went to Toys R Us. I love that store! I was supposed to get a water table. I got a water table, a chair, two potty seats, and Elmo towel, and a inflatable frog pool. Can you say SPOILED! When we got home we set up the frog pool so I could splash around in it. When we were going to leave to go back to Midland, but it started to rain really hard. Then the tornado sirens went off so we went in the basement for a while. Finally, we were able to leave. I didn't even get home until 8 pm!

All in all, it was a busy weekend per usual. But I had fun. Hope you had a good weekend too.

Hockeytown Baby!!!

**Photo courtesty of www.clickondetroit.com

The Red Wings did it -- they won the Stanley Cup! I wanted to stay and watch, but my mom was like "no way." I was like "What's up with that?" But she held her ground. It's pretty cool that they won.

Let's have a moment of silence for the Penguins and my friend Keith...

>>>>>SILENCE<<<<<<<<

Ok, I'm back. I'm glad the Wings won, but I don't what to do to occupy myself sports-wise until Michigan football starts. The Tigers are painful to watch, but I still like to sit on PaPa's lap and watch with him. And pretty soon the Lions will start, and we all know how that season will likely turn out.

Oh well, just bring on the Wolverines! Hail to the Victors!!!

P.S. Happy Birthday to Kristen!

Memorial Day Weekend

Hello beautiful people. Let me tell you about my Memorial Day Weekend. That's kind of funny, isn't it? Memorial Day Weekend -- how can a day be a weekend?

I had a very good weekend. I started it early on Wednesday night when I arrive at Papa and GG's. I came down to see my Uncle Butch -- I haven't seen him since last September! He's changed a lot. I wonder what he thinks about me. We had a very good time. We played lots and lots of boomba, and we watched some Bert and Ernie tapes. We also read books, and I even learned how to say Elmo. I really love hanging out with my Uncles -- they rock!

On Thursday and Friday, I just hung out with my family. It was cool. On Saturday, I went to my Papa's base ball game. I wore my uniform, and I was a hit! On Saturday night, we went to Granny Nanny's for a BBQ. We had a really good time there. I kept throwing the balls in her pool, and I got to play with Noah.

On Sunday, we had our own BBQ in Uncle Butch's honor. There were lots of people here. The food and company was pretty good, if I say so myself!

On Monday, we had Chinese for lunch. Actually, I didn't eat much of anything. I threw most of my food on the floor, but the rest of the family had Chinese. After we ate, we celebrated my Papa's birthday with a cake and presents. Did you know my Papa's birthday is my half birthday? How cool is that?

I hope you enjoy these few pictures. Stay tuned, my mom's working on some videos!

I am a Granger

Hi everyone. Guess what? I am a Granger with my Papa! He bought me a special base ball uniform just like his. It's a little big for me, but as soon as I get my suspenders, I'll be good to go.I went to the Grangers' game on Saturday. They introduced me as Xavier "Cadet." My Papa's nickname is General. I even had my picture taken with the whole team. The game was fun, even though the Grangers lost.

Fun in Cancun

Cancun

My mom took me to Cancun for 6 days -- just the two of us. Some people told her she was very brave. What about me? I was stuck with her for 6 days people -- 6 days! We had a really good time.

In the morning we would eat breakfast -- I had yogurt, bacon and grapes. Then I went to daycare, and my mom went to the gym. I used to cry when she left, but I wasn't really sad. I only did that to keep her on her toes. I had a lot of fun at daycare -- all the girls who worked there called me Javier. It sounded really cool. We played games and went in the pool and sang songs.

My mom picked me up and then we went to the pool. We hung out there for about 4 hours every day. We'd watch the water aerobics class or play with other kids. I especially liked to play with Danielle. She's from New York, and she was really nice to me. She made me laugh a lot! You will see her in one of the pictures. We ate lunch by the pool too. I had chicken strips, fries and nacho chips every day. I liked to throw the food onthe ground so the birds would come and eat it. It made my mom scream because she is scared of birds. She says she doesn't want to get pooped on.

After the pool, we went up to the room to take a nap. I would sleep for at least 2 hours. Then we changed and freshened up (no idea what that means, but my mom said that's what we were doing). Then it was downstairs for dinner and ice cream. Then we would go to the lobby to hang out. They had a player piano, and I like to run around it and get chased by my mom. After all this, we would go to the live show. Sometimes they had a circus and sometimes they had Elvis and Madonna impersonators. The shows were a lot of fun! After the shows came bedtime, but I was too pumped to sleep. My mom would walk me around the hotel in the stroller until I fell asleep. One night it took 45 minutes!

While we were in Mexico, we also went on a submarine ride. We had to take a boat to get to the submarine. It was a lot of fun, but my mom was holding on TIGHT! I was so proud of her -- she didn't even get seasick. The submarine ride was cool; some sea turtles swam right past me.

My mom wants to say that traveling alone with a toddler wasn't so bad. But then again, I am an exceptional child. She says pack lots and lots of snacks, books, toys, and wet ones. It also helps to sit next to grandparents like we did on the way home.

All in all, Cancun was a blast, and I am very lucky we were able to go.

Now -- when do we go back!

The Weekend of May 16

Hi everyone. It was a busy weekend as usual. First up was Emma's birthday party on Saturday. Emma is three! Her party was at her house in Midland, and GG and Papa were invited too. The theme was Jasmine from Disney. I've never seen so much Disney Princess and pink stuff in one room! I put on one of the tiaras -- it looked GOOD! Emma's party was a lot of fun. We ate pizza and fake popcorn (love that!), and Emma opened up all of her gifts. She got a lot of stuff-- mostly princess and Hello Kitty. We had a lot of fun.

On Sunday, Papa had his first Granger game. The Grangers are a vintage baseball team. They play with the rules that were in effect in 1863 or some crazy year like that. The one thing I noticed is that they dress funny, and they don't wear gloves. I guess that was two things. I wanted to play with Papa, but I couldn't. I was not so happy about that. I just kept yelling "ball" and "boomba" which means bat. It was cold and windy so that was a bummer. But -- the Grangers beat the other team (the Port Huron Welkins) 26 - 1 or some outrageous score like that. Papa played hurler (pitcher) and second sack, and he was hitting the ball really well. It was fun, but I hope the weather is nicer for the next game.

So that pretty much sums up my weekend.

Happy Monday!

My friends

Hello again. As you may have guessed, I have lots of friends. I'm a friendly kind of guy! I want to tell you about them because they will probably be featured on my blog.

First up are the Fortiers -- Nancy (aka Granny Nanny), Doug (aka Nerd), Jeff (aka Jeff the Chef), Brad (aka Bad Brad) and Lindsay (aka Torte). I have known the Fortiers my whole life! They live by Papa and GG. My mom used to babysit for Jeff, Brad and Lindsay. They all turned out ok, so that's a good sign for me. I love to see them. They come over for Thanksgiving dinner and for Christmas. We go to their house for Hanukkah. We have lots of fun together.

The Mcknights are Kristen, Leslie, Evan and Megan. My mom and Kristen have been friends for a long time. They even went to high school together. They also went to the University of Michigan together (GO BLUE!!!). Evan is 4 and Megan is 15 months. I like to go over there to visit them, and I like when we go to the Michigan football games together.

The Cobbs are Jennifer and Christopher. My mom and Jennifer went to Michigan together. Christopher joined the group a few years ago. We let him in even though he is a Spartan because he is a nice guy. My mom stood up in their wedding when she was pregnant, so technically I was there too. I like to go visit them because they are nice to me.

Paula Paula, Chris and Alan make up the Polsons. Paula Paula get that nickname at Michigan, where she and my mom met. Paula Paula and Chris's son, Alan, is one year old. They live in Virginia. I met him last football season when Paula Paula and Alan came out to Michigan to visit. I can't wait to see them again.

The Mertes are my friends from Midland. Michelle and Scott are the mom and dad, and they have a daughter named Emma who is 3. Michelle and my mom work together, and I go to the same day care as Emma. I love to hug Emma!

Ryan, Keith and Rhonda are my friends from Atlanta. They work with my mom. I went to Atlanta in March 2007 for Ryan's wedding. Ryan is my secret girlfriend, but shhh, don't tell her husband. Keith and I like to talk sports -- and he let me ride in his convertible. Rhonda is always sending me emails telling me how cute I am -- I love it!

Mi Familia -- My Family

Hi there. Let me tell you about my family. I have my mom -- she rocks. She's an attorney. I love her because she takes really good care of me!

I have two grandparents -- PaPa and GG. Papa plays vintage base ball with the Rochester Grangers. You've seen him in the slideshow. He teaches me all kinds of stuff like how to play catch, how to make animal noise, and how to blow an empty yogurt cup off my mouth (you gotta see this one to understand it). GG works at a Hallmark Store. I love her a lot. She takes me to the park, and she buys me LOTS of clothes!

I have two Uncles. Uncle Butch lives in Seattle. I don't really know where that is, but my mom says it's far away. Uncle Butch is funny -- he sings theme songs from television shows to me. He never gets the words right, but I just laugh and pretend like I don't have a clue. Uncle Josh lives in Rochester. He comes over to PaPa and GG's to play with me. He also wrestles with me and watches sports with me.

I have two cats -- Smokey and Boo. I never see Boo; she runs away when I go near her. I love me some Smokey though. He lets me pet him, and he finishes my string cheese when I don't want anymore.

I have an AWESOME family!

Slide shows are hard!

My mom finally figured out how to post a slideshow so you all can see some of the pictures from the past 17 months. It's about time. You can check it out over to the right. If you click on it, it will take you to the slideshow where you can see the captions.

This was my first Christmas -- 2006. My mom put me in the stocking!
